About Flower Print House

Flower Print House sells antique botanical and nature illustrations printed on canvas. The shop covers flowers, plants, birds, butterflies, mushrooms, fruit and shells.

What we sell

Every print is an old illustration or painting of a plant or animal. We choose images from collections that allow free reuse, and we print them on canvas in five sizes: 12x18 inches ($59), 16x24 inches ($89), 24x36 inches ($159), 32x48 inches ($229) and 40x60 inches ($299). Shipping is free in the United States, which is the only country we serve for now.

How the canvas is made

Up to 24x36 inches, the canvas is a synthetic fiber fabric with a water-resistant layer, stretched over a pine frame that is 0.6 inches (1.5 cm) deep and printed with archival pigment inks. The 32x48 and 40x60 canvases are 360 gsm poly-cotton, printed with archival-quality inks and stretched over solid wood bars 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) deep. Each canvas is printed and shipped from the United States after you order.

Where the images come from

Our images come from eleven sources: the National Gallery of Art, the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Rijksmuseum, the USDA Pomological Watercolor Collection, the Biodiversity Heritage Library, the Bavarian State Library, the Göttingen State and University Library, the Heidelberg University Library, the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Library, e-rara and the Internet Archive.
